- Case Study on Ecological Movements of Coastal Forests in Itoshima City, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to clarify how coastal forests were found as the resources which must be conserved and how ecological movements proceeded by analyzing two movements in Itoshima City, Fukuoka Prefecture. The signification is to use a perspective of “geographies of nature” (a point of view of socialized nature) in English-speaking countries. <br>The results suggest the following points: (1) There are a lot of actors in an ecological movement. (2) Even in the same area, there are various social meanings of environment intended for ecological movement. (3) Characteristics of one movement are also different from another.
