In this paper, future research direction of urban geography<br>is considered by tracing recent development of urban social geography. First,<br>historical background of emerging urban social geographic research is briefly<br>described. Then the latest research topics taken up by contemporary urban<br>geographers are introduced. In the final section, tentative discussion about<br>future research direction of urban geography is given with focusing on the<br>development of urban social geography.
