Abstract
Danwei (work unit) still has an important role in the residential supply for urban residents even though the private development enterprise has grown a main actor in the residential market in modern China after the reform and open policy. The report intends to discuss a significance of the work unit in the residential supply for their employee based on the interviews to the state-owned enterprises in Lanzhou City located on the inland area of China.
