Description
Formerly the author, reported the effect of C,Si and the tempering temperature on the completion of graphitization of white cast iron; now their effect on the beginning stage of graphitization was studied with various kinds of white cast iron. The results obtained could to be explained properly by considering the Fe-C-Si ternaly double diagram. From the ternary diagram,it can be received; that the composition of austenite, when the cast iron frozen, differs from the total composition. This is a reason of the irregularity of the time of appearance of graphite nuclear.
