Description

The amount of urinary excretion of thiamine after intravenous injection of TPD or ordinary thiamine was measured. The results obtained indicated that thiamine excreted in the urine at the first day after TPD injection was lower than that of ordinary thiamine, though at the second day the former gave a higher value than the latter. From this fact it was considered that TPD had a property of being retained for a longer time in the human body as compared with ordinary thiamine.
