Abstract

In recent years, computers have been introduced to elementary school classrooms and networking capabilities have been provided. In this paper, I would like to demonstrate that classrooms and schools should be intelligent i.e. - equipped with computers and networks. What is important is why classrooms and schools should be intelligent. Making educational institutions intelligent will increase the number of the people who can support student learning via the Internet and broaden the learning community for their students. The practices of Tamagawa Gakuen Elementary School illustrate this concept.
