Abstract
<p> In this study, we used special tablet PCs for dedicated educational purpose to teach lessons in lower elementary grade math classes and conducted a survey of the students after the class to understand their experience in using these tablet PCs, and their effectiveness in imparting the lesson. The results revealed that in comparison with textbooks and notebooks, these tablet PCs were evaluated highly in terms of usage experience in the following categories: “easy to underline, ” “easy to draw figures, ” and “easy to read notes within the pages.” In terms of learning effectiveness, the categories related to desire to learn and critical thinking received high evaluation as well.</p>
