Description
In this article, we introduce mathematical models of ion current dynamics in the cardiac cell and their relation with ECG through the bidomain equation on the torso model constructed based on realistic morphology. By doing such a simulation, it becomes possible to analyze the correlation between the ion currents on the heart muscle and the body surface potential map. Thus it potentially promotes the understanding of ECG and the proposal of new diagnostic index. In addition, it will contribute to the development of cardiac anti-arrhythmic drugs and the optimization of cardiac devices. Based on the above mentioned modeling, we successfully reproduced the two kinds of ECGs with the typical electrophys-iological models.
