This paper attempts to compare, among the texts dealing with the issues of homosexuality and homosexuals, between those by the male authors, including Mori Ogai's Vita Sexualis, Mishima Yukio's A Confession of the Mask, Inagaki Taruho's The Aesthetics of Loving Young Boys, and those by the female authors, such as Mori Mari's The Lovers' Wood and Yoshiya Nobuko's Two Virgins in the Attic.
