Abstract

Two functions are found in myths. First, mythology is the reality of an outer sphere. In other words, it has a tendency to go back to the original stage of the formation of the world. Second, it creates an "objectivity" found in the form of "a god who visits." It strives to make a dialectic circuit between the supernatural sphere and this world. These two functions are found not only in "Shin-yo" but in "Tenchi Shohatsu" in Kojiki. However, Kojiki has deeper insight than "Shin-yo." Kojiki has the potential to exceed every type of objectivity.
