Abstract

There are two different texts for the fairy tale, "Polano no Hiroba" ; the early text (written in pencil)and the final text (an amendment written in black ink). The former text was written in the 2nd or 3rd year of Showa and the latter, the 6th or 7th year of Showa. As the change from the first text to the second one is analyzed, the differences in Kenji's way of thinking are clearly explained. It is the change from the thought of self-sumciency based on barter system to the approval of the industrial union system based on commercialization of products. By discussing the differences between the first tgxt and the second one, the process of the change in Kenji's inner consciousness is revealed.
