Description
In this article, through the reading of Eimi Yamada's short story "Umi-no-hou-no-ko," I will consider what the act of uncovering a context is. For that purpose I will focus on a dialectical relation between the narrating self and the narrated self that are embodied in the figure of Kumiko. By unraveling such complicated layers of narration, another invisible context will be uncovered.
