抄録

The purpose of this article is to describe the features of product and organization architecture in the product development with multiple-elemental-technologies and to clarify the difficulties of that management. Briefly speaking, "multiple-elemental-technologies" means embedded systems controlled by the combination of hardware and software. In this article, we are focusing on the automotive electronic control equipments among these embedded systems. Recently, the development productivity of automotive electronic control equipments (i.e. ECU=Electronic Control Unit) has declined year by year because of huge amount of those software to be developed. It has been considerably serious issue in the automotive industry from 1990s. Though this problem has been considered as software in itself, we suggest that the systematic management of both hardware and software will be able to become one of the effective problem solving methods. At the beginning of our discussion, we have to examine the past studies of product architecture. Then, we will submit a unique framework to analyze the automotive electronic control equipments appropriately. It is quite important to analyze the product architecture from the functional-range as well as the structural-range. Finally, we will try short case study (Keihin) to confirm the our framework is valid or not.
