Description
In his Critique of Judgement Kant maintained that the underlying ability of the judgement of taste is the reflective faculty of judgement (die reflektirende Urteilskraft), which consists of the two elemental faculties, that is, the faculty of reflexion and that of subsumption. But generally speaking those who speak of the Kantian aesthetical theory tend to make light of the subsumption-structure. This structure is not explicitly represented in the third Critique. It seems to me that the third Critique is in the main the theory of the subsumption-structure, in which the reflexion-structure is embedded. The purpose of my paper is to ascertain that the exposition and the deduction of the pure judgement of taste in the third Critique are constructed as the theory of the subsumption-structure or the estimation-structure (die Beurteilungsstruktur).
