Abstract
In ch. XIII of "Poetics", Aristotle described the ideal plot of tragedy with the ideal tragic hero to correspond. But this formula here proposed seems to be too rigid, and still remains incomplete and inadequate. Yet it contains a profound truth and a possibility for adaptation beyond what was immediately present to the mind of Aristotle. Now in this report we will consider Aristotle's conclusions more in detail and supply them by his foundamental views, par example, the universal representation of poetry and the rule of the probable or necessary sequence.
