Abstract
This research studied elderly people's feeling of isolation about whether for it to become the strength and weakness of community relations to appear. We think that the stronger to engage in the local community, the weaker the sence of isolation. We aim to clarify the relationship between the elderly community and the sense of isolation. Focusing on the extent of socializing with the world and the sense of isolation, we confirmed the relationship between the elderly and the community and the sense of isolation. We found trends for each individual attribute and investigated how elderly people are involved with community relations and isolation. As a result of investigating whether isolated feeling of the elderly people appears as strength or weakness of the relationship with the community, it is important to care for connections and ties with the public in order to alleviate isolation.
