Abstract

Since 1998, the School Broadcasting Program Department of NHK has been carrying out a practical study on developing and broadcasting programs and on Web sites to integrate broadcasts and communication technologies. In fiscal year 1999, it launched "Encyclopedia of Global Foods," which is a comprehensive learning program designed to promote international understanding. This program comprises two sections: "Experience Section," which relates to emotional elements as thought to be important, and "Data Section," which refers to reference data as important. It is necessary to clarify what kings of lecture design and reports are effective as Web information in this kind of program. Four proposals have been presented as Web information, of which one was presented by our group. In this research, the lecture design is assisted and promoted by free activities of young teachers and students, who wish to become a teacher, and who analyze programs rather than detailed plans or reports. Reports, which show the process and the reasons for changing activities in a visible form, assist in redesigning lectures.
