- S055024 Phenomena of Decreasing Volume Concentration of Solid Liquid Two-Phase Fluid Containing Spherical Particles with Same Specific Gravity as Fluid Phase by Flowing
抄録
Two-phase fluid containing solid spherical particles with the same specific gravity as fluid phase flowed through a rectangular channel, and partially flowed out through a branch rectangular channel. The ratios of the volume concentrations in branch channels and those in the main channels before branches were studied. Experimental values of the ratio almost accorded with theoretical values, but some deviations occur. To know the reasons of deviations, the trajectories of particles were studied by analyzing the video data. Some particles existing outside the area, where the fluid flew into the branch pipe, flew into the branch pipe. By these phenomena, values of the ratio were thought to become more than theoretical values. When the aspect ratio of branch pipe was large, the influence of the separation eddies at the entrance of the branch pipe became stronger and the substantial area of branch pipe became smaller. So some particles existing inside the area, where the fluid flew into the branch pipe, could not flow into the branch pipe. By these phenomena, the values of the ratio were thought to become less than theoretical values. This knowledge would help to design rotating filter.
