Description
In order to clarify the effects of injection conditions and oxygen mole fraction on PCCI combustion, an experimental study was conducted by using a constant volume vessl. Time histories of pressure and heat release rate were obtained at various injection condition and ambient oxygen mole fraction in n-heptane sprays. The results show that increase in injectioan pressure prolongs combustion duration at a fixed injection quantity. On the other hand, at approximately constant ijection duration, higher injection pressure gives shorter combustion duration.
