抄録

Experiment for measuring fuel consumption of diesel engine in changing the adjusted value on the engine maintenance work were conducted, in order to evaluate the fuel-saving effect by the engine maintenance on fishing vessel. The results showed that there was almost no recognizable difference in the fuel consumption in changing the fuel injection pressure in 92〜104% of the manufacturer recommended value, in 0.1mm decreased level of the tappet clearance and also in using the turbocharger filter in operation for 1 year; there was no change at the fuel consumption when the used lubricating oil in operation for 1 year and the new lubricating oil were used.
