<p>In this study, we focuses the shape identification analysis based on the thermal testing method. In previous study, numerical computation for cavity shape in the structure made by 3D printer was carried out. Then smoothing process for gradient vector of the nodal position was introduced and identified shape got close to target shape. In this study, first we compare computational results with two smoothing process, Gaussian filter and traction method. As a result, it was found that if the target shape has smoother surface the Gaussian filter is appropriate to obtain identified shape to target shape. On the other hand, identified shape with traction method is good agreement with target shape on the computational condition that the target shape has a dimple. Secondly we proposed inverse analysis method for multiple defect in the structure based on the density method. In this analysis, density on the each node is given as design variable and defect shape is determined from the distribution of the density. From computational results, although the shape is different to the target shape, the cavity is generated in the position close to target shape.</p>
