Behavior of the S10C film under cyclic pure shear was different from the bulk. This research studied the effect which the ratio of the diameter of an average grain of an S10C thin film to film thickness has on intemal deformation behavior under cyclic shear loading. As a result, when film-thickness/grain-diameter ratio was about 1.4 or less, the phenomenon saturated without a slip deformation increasing more than it even if it adds a shear was observed. Moreover, the rate of the grain which a slip produces became high, so that film thickness/grain diameter ratio became large.
