Description
The aim of this study is to develop a method of direct combustion that allows safe and effective incineration of difficult-to-process woody industrial wastes which contain sea water or radioactive materials by applying the two-stage combustion method for woody biomass, which were proposed in our previous study. The experiments are conducted using a small combustor. The result clarified the combustion characteristics of cypress chips containing artificial sea water as well as cypress bark chips. In addition, it was confirmed that the combustion of these chips can be controlled over a wide range by changing the amount of air.
