- B205 Characteristics of heat and momentum transfer on water jet surface in supersonic steam flow
抄録
Steam injector is a passive jet pump which operates without rotating power source or a machinery and it has high heat-transfer performance because of the direct contact condensation between supersonic steam flow and a subcooled water jet at a mixing nozzle, and it has been considered to apply to one of the safety system for the Next-generation nuclear power plant. The objective of the present study is to investigate the effect of interfacial behavior between supersonic steam flow and a water jet on heat and momentum transfer characteristics. In the present study, a visible test section of the injector with radial temperature and velocity measurement instrumentation was applied. The interface of the flows was observed with high speed video camera. Complex wavy behavior on the water jet was observed. The wave velocity of it was estimated by image processing technique. It was confirmed that there was a relation between the wave velocity and Jacob number, as well as Nusselt number estimated from thermal characteristics of the flow.
