Description
Long travel and ultra-high speed elevators which are installed in high-rise buildings over 500 meters may be equipped with the air pressure control system to reduce passengers' ear block. In a conventional technology, the controller changes air pressure in the car with a constant rate. However, the other proposed operations shift the rate of pressure change discontinuously to increase the pressure in the car step by step. In these cases, the quick response of the air pressure control becomes air issue. Therefore, we applied feed-forward control with consideration for the car deformation, which influenced the air pressure in the car, to improve the control performance. As a result of evaluation experiments, proposed controller reduced estimated errors (approximately 30% reduction compared with a conventional type).
