Description

In order to find the influence of steering assist on the driving behavior, the lane change experiment with the driving simulator is conducted. In this research we try to do blind test in which subject drivers are not informed of the change of steering gear ratio and open test in which they are informed of it. In the result, it is found that the correlation between the steering gear ratio and some parameters is varied by the information about the change of gear ratio. Thus, the understanding of the steering system specification is important for steering assist systems.
