抄録

The specimens treated in this paper are fine platinum wires including the Wohrastone wires and fine thermistor particles of approximately spherical shapes. Our experimental procedures on small particles have been remarkably simplified by the use of thermistor just as the same way in case of the fine wires, for the specimens themselves become the heating bodies of high temperature coefficients of electric resistances. The experimental formulas obtained here are represented by the following non-dimensional relations, horizontal fine wires : [numerical formula] particles : [numerical formula] where the representative length .L=2×(volume/surface area), that is L=D/2 for cylinder, L=D/3 for sphere having diameter D, and Nu, o(L) is the limiting Nusselt number.
