抄録

The problem of determing the stresses in an orthognally aerolotropic plate has been investigated by many authors, but they chiefly deal with the cases, either of a plate having straight boundaries or of an infinite plate with a circular or an elliptic hole. This paper presents a general form of the stress function in Cartesian coordinates for the plane problems of the orthotropic plate containing two free elliptic holes. As an example, an infinite plate with two elliptic holes and subjected to a transverse uniform tension at infinity is treated and the stresses are given in the form of power series.
