To establish a theory regarding the speed change characteristics of automatic vee-belt speed change devicis in the previous paper, the present author derived an equation representing the characteristics, and showed that the equation was in good agreement with the actuality. In this paper, however, the author has given certain complementary considerations to the equation, seeking for conditions under which the characteristics were not affected by load-torques, discussed the effect of the friction caused by the sliding of movable sheaves on the characteristics, and investigated the traveling configurations of a vee-belt. The main results obtained are as follows : (1) It is theoretically necessary that the mechanisms for the generation of sheave-thrusts also create the sheave-thrusts proportional to shaft-torques in order that the characteristics are not affected by the load-torques. (2) The vee-belt has a tendency to entering into the vee-shaped grooves formed between sheaves. (3) As for the traveling curves of the vee-belt, the theory coincides with the experiments.
