抄録

The competitive adsorptions (or reactions) of collector cations and hydrogen ions or collector anions and hydroxyl ions on the same site of mineral surface were considered theoretically. It was ascertained that the adsorption (or reaction) of collector ions is governed by [R+]/[H+] or [R-]/[OH-] in the case of uniform surface and by [R+]/[H+]n or [R-]/[OH-]n in the case of non-Uniform surface. Accordlngly, -the floatability of minerals is correlatively affected by collector ion and hydrogen ion or hydroxyl ion.<BR>The following relationships are derived under critical conditions of flotation, <BR>[R+]/[H+]=TR/a' (b-TR+)=K (const.) [R+]/[H+]n=1/C·(kH+)n/kRTR=K (const.)<BR>and the concept of two constants, a and K, under the critical flotation condition was confirmed.
