Abstract
The basic concepts of Gestalt psychology are well known by the Japanese A-V investigators and educational psychologists. But the practical problems in relation to the Gestalt psychologist's doctrines of man and educational points of view have never been regarded. Nowadays we can refer the Presidential Address in APA (1959), the Langfeld Memorial Lectures in Princeton (1969) by W. Kohler and the systematic documents of Gestalt psychology by M. Henle (1961) and so on. Then it may be the time to reevaluate the Gestaltist's ways of thinking about instructional situations. The main purposes of this paper are to review the problems presented by A. S. Luchins (1961), an influential disciple of Max Wertheimer, and to investigate the implications of Gestaltist's views for A-V learning, Some problems which were considered are as follows: The historical background of Gestalt psychology as experimental phenomenology. The Gestaltist's views on learning. Doctrines of man by M. Wertheimero Concerning motivation factors. Problems of response aspect, interference, practice, reasoning and productive activity.
