Description
In JIS, hexagon bolt assemblies with spring washers are specified. In near future, hexagon nut assemblies with spring washers will be specified in JIS standards. Actually, the effects of the spring washers are not elucidated sufficiently. In the previous paper, the experimental results on the loosening characteristics of spring lock washers and conical spring washers were reported. However, the effect of the spring lock washers for preventing the loosening was not clear because the scatter of the experimental results was substantial. Thus, in this paper, a lot of experiments were carried out as well as the previous experiments and the authors tried to elucidate the effect and the cause for preventing the loosening. As the results, it is clarified from our experiments that the effect for preventing the loosening is larger for the spring washers with larger torque coefficient in tighten.
