Abstract

A simple method has been developed for analysis of kojic acid in rice koji. Rice koji extracts were applied on Bio Gel P-2 column (1×30 cm) and eluted with water at a flow rate 180μl/min. Kojic acid was detected by UV absorption and using Tatsumi method. Kojic acid was determined without any influence of co-existing substances.
