Geotechnical consultants often use the results of geological surveys not only for academic purposes but also for architectural design and/or environmental assessment. The survey results must therefore be clearly explained. Three-dimensional representation is the most powerful tool for providing such comprehensible explanation. This paper introduces examples of the application of a three-dimensional geological model by geotechnical consultants, using VULCAN commercial software commonly used for the three-dimensional modeling of geological structures.
