- 焼岳火山群の大規模ラハール堆積物と火砕流堆積物

Description
活火山である焼岳火山を主峰とする焼岳火山群は，近年も活発な噴火活動を行なっており，近い将来も噴火する可能性が高い．この火山を起源とする過去に発生したラハールは，高原川－神通川水系を100 km以上も流下し富山平野まで達している．この見学コースでは，この大規模ラハール堆積物の観察とともに，その母材となった焼岳火山群の火山噴出物まで各段階を追って観察する．その他，焼岳火山の観測を行なっている京都大学防災研究所附属の上宝観測所や穂高砂防観測所なども見学する予定である．
