Abstract
<p><tt>AjumbojetairplallecrashedinJapan,August12.1985.Total524personboardedintheplane,andintheaccident520 person was died and only4person survived miraculously. This experimental study was carried out to confirm strength of single riveted joint.In case of Faying Surface Seal do not paste,the fatigue strength of a riveted joint increases linearly for the diameter of driven head.When Faying Surface Sea/was used and a diameter of driven head was less than6.5mm(diam.of manufactured rivet head is8mm,diam.of shank is4mm)the fatigue strength of joint decrease about1/3for not used Faying Surface Sea1.In this region,it can be estimate that the pressure wall of the accidental airplane was fractured. The working management should be circumspective,that is,the double rivet joint does not make the single rivet joint.</tt><tt>It can be say that it must be added the item measurillg a diameter of driven head. </tt></p>
