Abstract

Metallic biomaterials which are used for dental field and orthopedic implant are reviewed. Corrosion of dental alloys in saliva and surgical implant alloys in body fluids is one of the most important problem in metallic biomaterials, and is discussed in clinical practice. Tissue reactions to corrosion products involving their uses are also reviewed.
