抄録

The exoelectron emission from sandblasted aluminum, copper, and steel plates was measured with a picoammeter. In the case of aluminum, the emission intensities were well correlated to the degree of sandblasting, when the measurements were carried out at one minute after sandblast. The emission intensity became strong by illumination of ultraviolet light corresponding to photoelectric threshold and by contact of water, benzene, and acetone vapors. The results suggested that exoelectron phenomena can be applied to the indirect measurement of the degree of mechanical treatments such as sandblast.
