Abstract
Eighteen cases of external eye diseases (meibomitis, dacryocystitis, orbitarsellulitis and corneal infections) were cured all after 3-10 days by DL-8280 treatment.<BR>The penetration of DL-8280 into the tear and the serum of 22 human cases were examined simultaneously at 0.25, 0.5, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8 hours after a single oral administration at a dose of 200mg. The peak of tear level was 1.36±0.32 ileml (2 hours after) and this level was considered effective to the corneal infections by S. aureus and P. aeruginosa.
