Description
C5-olefins were oxidized with NH3 and O2 on various metal oxides using a fixed bed reactor at an atmospheric pressure.<br>Catalysts, their compositions and reaction conditions were examined in order to obtain 1-cyano-1, 3-butadiene (CB) in a good yield.<br>The best yields of CB obtained were 13, 14 and 6mole% from 1, 3-pentadiene, cyclopentene and cyclopentadiene, respectively, on V2O5-MoO3-P2O5 (mole ratio: 1/5.8/0.7) catalyst under the reaction condition of the temperature of 510-520°C, the space velocity of 2, 500l/hr and the feed mole ratio of olefin: O2:NH3:N2:H2O=1:10:8:40:5.<br>A trace amount of CB were obtained from other olefins such as n-pentene-1 and n-penten-2.
