Abstract
Seven cases of intestinal ruptures in seat belt wearers, which were encountered from April, 1984 to March, 1989 in the Department of Surgery of Matsumoto National Hospital, were clinically analyzed. Mostly small and large intestinal ruptures were obserbed in seat belt wearers. In X-ray examination, free air was not recognized in all seven cases and in some cases, it seemed likely that past surgical treatments indirectly induced intestinal ruptures.
