- Robust Design Using Fuzzy Numbers. 2nd Report. Proposal of Approximation of Fuzzy Sets Using Intermediate Variables.

In the past studies, we have shown the effectiveness of the use of fuzzy numbers as design variables in robust design, by comparing with the other methods. However, when there exist strong nonlinear characteristics in the functions, there are possibilities to include some errors in estimating in the distribution of them. Which is undesirable for the designers to choose a level to give allowances of deviation of objective functions and constraints. In this paper, we will propose a new technique that introduces intermediate variables to reduce the estimation errors in estimating fuzzy numbers. We propose two operations they are ordinary stream of estimation that fuzzy design variables are given and. try to estimate fuzzy function, and inverse stream that fuzzy sets of fuzzy function are given and try to estimate fuzzy sets of fuzzy numbers. We will show the effectiveness of the proposed fuzzy calculation through out the numerical examples.
