Abstract

For the purpose of establishing the standard of the garment sizes for babies, the authors tried to classify the body forms in each month group. Materials are the same as Part 1 measured in 1973. The items used in this paper are stature, weight and other twelve measurements which are related to the garment sizes for babies. Results were obtained as follows.
1) As the standard items for the classification of the body forms, it is advisable to select both stature and weight or weight only.
2) As the month group for the garment sizes, it is better to divide into two groups the first five months and the rest, from six to twelve months.
3) In order to estimate chest girth and other four items for babies' garments in these two month groups, we compared following two ways one is with stature and weight, and the other, with weight only. In both group I (1st to 5th month) and group II (6th to 12th month), it is more precise to estimate them with two variables (stature and weight).
