<p>The seasonal prevalence of the garden pea leafminer（Chromatomyia horticola）was monitored using yellow sticky traps in Kaminokuni in 2007. Kaminokuni is located in southwestern Hokkaido showing the greatest production of garden peas. Two peaks were found in late July and mid September when the average temperatures were about 20℃. The number of the species decreased during the period in which the temperatures exceeded 20℃. The use of yellow sticky traps was evaluated as an effective simple method of monitoring the seasonal prevalence of C. horticola adults.</p>
