Abstract

Previous papers dealt with punching a hole and blanking of sheet glass under extremely high pressure. In this research, the relationship between punching a hole and blanking is investigated under various conditions, and the processing conditions to obtain a high quality hole and blank simultaneously are clarified. Besides sheet glass, sheets of alumina ceramics and other materials are successfully processed by these methods.
