Abstract
Short segments of epicotyls from two-month-old seedlings of Quercus acutissima CARR. were cultured in vitro using broad-leaved trees medium (BTM). Buds and shoots were differentiated only on explants with scaly leaves. They were subcultured, and then many shoots emerged. A high rooting-ratio was achieved with shoots more than 25 mm long from cuttings in medium with IBA (β-indolebutylic acid) and NAA (α-naphthylacetic acid), and many growing young-plantlets with leaves were obtained.
