Abstract
In order to exclude the scattering X-ray which has bad effect on X-ray photography, the authors tried to put an absorption plate between the object and the cassette. In radiographing of sternum or rib, the plate of Aluminium or copper were used as an absorption plate and the following results were obtained. When the tube voltage was 40kVp or so, a plate of copper which was 0.1mm thickness was effective and necessary mAs did not increased so remarkably. The higher the tube voltage is, the must the plate of copper be thickened. From the view point of absorption rate of scattering X-ray, it is most favorable to combine Lyshlom-Blende with the plate of copper of 0.1mm thickness : but in this case, mAs increased remarkably.
