Abstract

The method of subtraction in rapid serialographic contrast studies of the heart and the great ressels is discribed, using-film-changer (Elema Schonander) and Roentgen cine camera (64,128,200,400fps), and its application to angiocardiography is discussed. Four examples are presented. It is concluded that the technique of subtraction is of value in defining the outlines of coronary arteries and branches of the aorta where their margins are obscured by overlying bone and mediastinal shadows.
