Description
A New MTF measurement of the screen-film system by the Fourier analysis using the square wave chart are presented. The accuracy and reproducibility of the measurement were evaluated by computer simulation based on the known MTF data. This method has an advantage that can measure the MTF without the Coltman's formula by computing the Fourier spectrum of the fundamental frequency of the each square wave. It takes 8 minutes to obtain an MTF by using the square chart (Funk, Co. LTD). If we can make a square wave chart which have wide distance from window to window, it be able to measure no truncation error. We can measure high frequency band much more accurately.
