Description
By using of di-n-hexyl sulfoxide as an extractant, the extraction of molybdenum and tungsten was investigated from various acidic solutions such as weak acidic nitrate solutions, sulphuric acid solutions in the presence of H2O2 and hydrochloric acid solutions.<br>The optimal condition for the extraction of molybdenum is strong acidic hydrochloric acid solutions, that is, 2N and more over. Molybdenum is preferentially extracted and the separation of impurties such as Fe (III), Zn, Cu and Ca is considered to be possible. From the experimental results the molecular ratios of the extracted species were analyzed and the extraction mechanism was discussed.<br>The extraction of molybdenum and tungsten with several extractants such as Alamine 336, D2EHPA and TBP was studied and the comparision of these extractants was carried out.
